TUITION

Tuition is paid monthly based on 9.5 months of classes (September-June) in 10 EQUAL installments. The installments are not relative to the number of classes offered in any given month. Tuition rates are based on the total number of hours of instruction per week per student. Please check your family portal for a complete tuition breakdown.

Tuition and registration fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.

The first and last month of tuition along with the registration fee ($35 per student) is due at time of enrollment. Please allow 72 hours after enrollment for tuition & registration fees to be posted to your account. You may make your payment through your family portal at that time, or your initial tuition balance will be charged to your card on file 7 days after enrollment. Families with an outstanding balance will not be eligible for enrollment until the balance is paid.

All subsequent tuition payments are due on the 1st of the month. If payment is not received by the 7th, the credit card on file will be charged. Studio Dans requires a current credit card to be kept on file. Accepted forms of payment include check, Visa, and Mastercard. We are no longer able to accept cash. A $35 fee will be applied to your account for all returned checks and declined credit cards, and any class discounts will be removed from your account. If payment is not received by the end of the month, your child will be withdrawn from class until the account is paid in full. A 5% discount is available if you wish to pay for the whole year in advance.

MINIMUM ENROLLMENT

Classes will be filled on a first come, first served basis. The minimum enrollment is six (6) students per class. If the minimum enrollment is not met, families will be contacted via email and the class may be combined with a similar class or canceled.

CLASS ETIQUETTE & PROCEDURES

All students are expected to be on time and dressed appropriately (see dress code). Students who do not adhere to the dress code will not be permitted to attend class.

Dancers are expected to enter the studio respectfully and quietly and be physically and mentally prepared to dance. No food, drink, or gum except water is allowed in the studios or dressing room. All students and parents are expected to treat fellow students and instructors with respect and not openly critique another dancer. Gross misconduct will not be tolerated.

Late students: Arriving late is disruptive to the overall flow of the class, other students, and the teacher.  If you must be late it is very important that you enter quietly between combinations. No one is allowed to enter a class more than 15 minutes past the scheduled starting time.

What to bring: Dancers should be in dance attire according to the class dress code and bring only necessary dance shoes in your bag. DO NOT wear dance shoes outside. Please come dressed and ready for class with hair tied back. Please also bring a labeled water bottle.

Drop off & Pick up: Please arrive at the studio no more than 15 minutes before class. Dancers may enter through the front door of the building.

All dancers are required to check in via the tablets available at the front desk. Your primary account phone number is required to check in: Please log into the Portal to view and update your primary phone number by going to the Menu icon > Account > Settings and scrolling down to Family Details; then Save. Failure to check in at the desk may result in dancers being marked absent.

Pick up after class will take place at the front lobby as well. Please enter the studio to pick up your dancer - dancers will not be permitted to leave the studio without an adult.

STUDIO CALENDAR

The studio will be closed for major holidays and school breaks. However, it does not follow all local county school closings. Please see our calendar for dates that the studio will be closed as well as important dates and events.

ATTENDANCE/MAKE-UP POLICY

Dance requires discipline and consistency. Students are expected to attend class every week. Students needing to miss class need to enter the absence through the family portal. When a student misses a class, it not only hinders their performance, it hinders the overall progress and cohesiveness of the group. There will be no refunds or credits provided for classes missed.

Make-up classes are available for absences due to illness or other personal reasons, however, missed classes must be made up within one month and in a class of the same dance discipline, of equal or lower level. Registration for a makeup class is required through the family portal at least 24 hours before the class is scheduled. Due to recital preparation, Make-up classes will not be available in May and June.

Special accommodations can be made for dancers with injury or illness, requiring an extended period of absence. Please contact studio directors.

CLASS WITHDRAWAL

Dancers are permitted to withdraw from classes with one month's notice until December 1, 2024. Please complete the drop/transfer request form on the Studio Dans website. After December 1, 2024, if a student withdraws from a class, the parent/guardian will remain responsible for the full annual tuition which will be due at time of withdrawal.
